The Crooked Road

Sept 10th to Oct 2nd, 2022

We often find ourselves on a road of twists and turns. Shifting our perspective as we walk our path forward. Watching for the signs as we tread upon new roads less travelled. This is such a time, as Mercury stations retrograde in the mist of the swamp. Trying to find the clues by following the tolling of the Bells.

The little Hermes is now close to earth. We can see his face as we pass by in the midnight skies. What is the clue he seeks to express to us. You must listen closely. Don’t get distracted, lest you stray off the path and find yourself lost in the details of your mission. By the way, what is your mission? Do you know or are you caught up in some confusion that led you to this point.

The messenger now has a message as he changes direction in the light of the Full Moon of Sept 10th, 2022. In some locations, he seems earlier by time and space. As all things retrograde, I am late. Trying to catch up with the others, already down the road that bends and turns. The light of this Moon guides us to some extent. Forcing us to try something different, as same old patterns return us to the beginning of our journey.

He entered the swamp on the 21st of August. Slowing down to a snail’s pace. This is when we decided to take a different path. Focused on a single mission. Directed due to the Virgo influences. Paying attention to all the details, or so we think. Shortly there after the road turns unexpectantly as Mercury opposed Neptune, making us sensitive to the sounds and noises around us. Disbelieving of the information we are hearing. Night falls, leaving us to interpret our steps according to the clues we are receiving. Trusting we have maintained the journey forward. You might have found yourself disbelieving, perhaps betrayed in some sense. It’s important to pay attention to what we heard and see, marking now our path with cautionary notes upon the branches of the trees. Caught up in inspirations, possibilities, and artistic pursuits. Distracted by events. Actions speak loader then words heading into that Virgo New Moon on the 27th. Mercury headed towards the warrior planet of Mars, setting our map forward. Making decisions of what actions we need to take next. Tripping us up with aggressive statements and a fighting spirit.

We are indeed shadowed by past events yet determined to proceed as Mercury hits the Libra Equinox point. Drawing lines in the sand between you and others. No resolution found. It seemed like a good idea to begin with, still muddled by the actions of others. Mars now in Gemini, creates the battle within us. Setting the path wider. Events can be rather traumatic, spreading to many people as they become involved in the plights of the world. A world audience now watches events unfolding before them on this path. Creating a domino effect, and perhaps changing the way we see our world forever. The Bell tolled once in the distance by the 26th of August. This begins fresh starts as the road turns and changes our trajectory.

News unfolds, as others come to tell us to go this way, no that. Perhaps arguments ensue. Legal repercussions and a revisiting of the facts of what has transpired so far. A break to review the map. Get our bearings. Confident to venture forth as Mercury opposes Jupiter for the first time on the 2nd of September. Promises are made, but no guide comes to steer us into the right lane. We just seem to wander along, caught in some belief that everything will be as it is. Grand plans of feeling optimistic about our future endeavors. We have a lot of ground to cover but surrounded by trees we miss the point of it all. Caught in some daydream of illusions and disbeliefs that these things are happening. We begin and yet don’t finish things. We are questioned, opinionated and full of controversy, better left to the courts to decipher. Old questions about previous allegations, attempts made to find the truth. This is the first of several inconsistencies arising. Gathering information to make sense of it all.

We may run into old acquaintances, perhaps an old lover or friend. Reviews of our relationships of foe or friend. Miscommunication hits us hard within whom we trust. Our partners seem distant, perhaps we are suspicious of their motives. We remember past experiences, fearful of the repercussions. Reviews of past connections. Revisiting past connections

Mercury then stations, changing course, perhaps laying a foundation of thoughts about who we are connected too. Our strong allies, our partners, and the support we need to continue down this crooked road. Understanding we can no longer go it alone. We may now need to back track, lost some how due to trusting the wrong person, or perhaps this was simply our own interpretation of directions. Tangled in our minds of confidence, forgetting to listen to the story all the way through. Jumping to the end before paying attention to the instructions. We could indeed have lost something. Digging out old papers or contracts. Agreements struck, yet not sure of the details of information folded on the papers. We stop in our tracks. Thinking of what to do next. Formulating a plan, gathering our forces.

He is connected to the fixed star of Vindemiatrix. Bringing with it dramatic news. Long running news stories that affect many people. Yet there is a vagueness or a lack of the back story. A time of gathering the facts before releasing it to the group. A strong revisitation of life. One must be cautious of not losing writings or important papers. Questions of the details of the agreement. We are uncertain of the road before us. Hasty to get back from whence we came. Perhaps frustrated with our selves that we didn’t listen to the messenger’s instructions.

We could feel out of balance here, drawing backwards, trying to remember where we turned, left or right. It’s hard to make decisions as we weigh our options. Studying the patterns. Reflecting on what had been said earlier. Try to be civilized as you realize your sense of loss. You will meet someone on your path back from whence you came, who will bring you back into intellectual balance. Be cautious though as a price might need to be paid as you socialize and break bread with your old acquaintances. Yet we feel safe and appreciative of their efforts to get us back on track. Things shift as we restructure our connections. Happy that we have changed our minds about others real motives. Everything is going by plan, direction, even if the Bell caused us disruptions of disbelief.

Just before we reach our backward destination to regroup. Mercury opposes Jupiter once more by the 19th of September. Signaling a time of certainty of fact. Revelations come to pass which are both inspirational and over whelming. We might be caught up in some strange plan, leading us down a garden path of embarrassment. A time to stop and review your options before you proceed.

Striking the Second toll of the Bell. Transfixed on the events that have happened thus far. Where many things have changed due to the vibration of the first Bell ringing out towards the world. Causing significant shifts to transpire. New beginnings and new relationships forming.
Hence, we are back to the beginning of this old road. Weary of the path taken, of many who have travelled before. Never seeing what’s around the bend until we have turned the corner. Marching our way forward, like a procession streaming past a crowd. Gathering us together along the journey. Changed and never really changing at all. Perception is key to navigating this retrograde. To see beyond the words into the soul of other intentions.

Mercury now close to the start heading back into Virgo, linked with events transpiring on the 21st of August. Caught in some daydream. Believing in someone that perhaps never really existed. Illusions of inspiration, reviewing our options and creative masterpieces. It’s important now to review the details. Become discerning. Appreciating a need to be perfect with our instructions. Finding lost items to assist us one more. Understanding fully.

At the same time Mercury will come within a degree of reconnecting with Neptune. Shrouding us in fog as we set course for a new destination by the 29th of September until October 4th, 2022. In a daydream of hopes and dreams. Inspired by our own train of thought as we merrily trudge down our new path of enlightenment. Secrets begin to resurface as facts reveal themselves. Distractions, persuasions, and deceit could be afoot, so do be cautious of who you walk with along the crooked road. Naïve to the illusions presenting themselves. What sounds good now may not be so, heading down this path. We could be caught up in flash floods. Heavy rains and foggy boggy mists as we tread upon planks across the swampy landscape.

We skip, perhaps dance as the flute plays and the sun shines, when Mercury finally stations Direct on the 2nd of October. We turn and change course. Feeling confident we are back at the beginning. Ready to redo the course before us. Tangled in dreams of what lies before us.
The Bell tolls for the third and final time come October 11th. Drawing us out of our complacency as the earth vibrates and the leaves fall. Transfixed to some worldly event playing out on the larger stage of life. Information whistles in from all corners of the world. Changing the lands scape and shifting our direction as we come to the crossroads of life. We begin anew, just as Mercury opposes Jupiter for the last time. Feeling more confident. Self assured that we are now on the right path. Bringing with it fresh opportunities. Challenging us to stay true to our purpose without getting greedy at the prospects of success. Fresh, relieved as the rain lifts and the sun shines.

We now have all the information. We can trust once again, or so we believe. Trudging along once more with others whom really seem to be our friends, partners and allies. With this crooked road, who knows really what the facts are, unless one had paid strict attention to the details of the journey. The road opens wide on the other side. The plains before us speak of a road straightening out as we move beyond the swamp and out to the open prairie by the 19th of October. We’ll remember this journey and that old, crooked road which twisted and turned leading us back from whence we came and forward once more.
