Virgo Full Moon Lunar Eclipse

TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE

MARCH 14, 2025

VIRGO FULL MOON/DISCERNMENT

We are now entering Eclipse Season. Eclipses come in pairs generally with both a Solar and Lunar Eclipse arising and generally happening twice a year. We are entering a new axis between Virgo and Pisces, which brings our focus to health and healing. Service and Faith.

We open this new axis with the first Eclipse happening on March 14th with a Total Lunar Eclipse at the 24rd degree of Virgo while connecting with the south node @ 27 degrees of this sign. The South node is a point of release. The Eclipses are like doorways that open and close, with the SN closing and finishing up old avenues of operating.

With the Lunar Eclipse in a Full Moon stage, the impact will be felt through realizations emerging. We can hit a climatic peak of energy, bringing awareness of various situations emerging within our lives. Solutions can manifest. It happens quickly and without much forewarning. The emotional impact will be felt strongly, bringing us to a point of change.

Virgo is a sign of discernment as it slowly separates the chaff from the grain. Relevance is important within the structure of the information. This signals a time to determine what is important and what needs to be shed to progress further along. It likes to narrow things down in deciding what ailment or crux is really the problem, aiming to eliminate what is not essential. Virgo is the sign of the worker, producing some challenging physical endurance to be produced. Prone to burnout, caused by too much work with very little abundance to show for it. Virgo doesn’t give up too easily, as it seeks to complete what it started and being of service can make this a bit too much to handle. We could find ourselves exhausted or overwhelmed. This is also the sign of service, whether it’s for a loved one or volunteering or healing. The sign of the slave with ancient wisdom due to necessity of survival attached. Making it vulnerable to the needs of others. Run ragged with organizing, planning and working. Proud to give, and eager for acceptance.

This Lunar Eclipse Full Moon carries much Karmic energy with it, as it opposes the lineup of planets in Pisces. Saturn, the Sun, North Node and Pisces. This signals a destiny or fated energy to manifest. From spirit to physical and from the physical to the spiritual. Challenged between the two realms of our existence. We could feel blocked or stuck in energy. That things have stagnated to such a point that something needs to be released to move on. This takes discipline to complete. Old projects or emotional connections need to have some sort of resolution. If you have something that’s been dragging on for some time, this is the time to get it done and over with, rather than procrastinate or be lazy. Our need for perfection could have been highlighted here or that we have a little OCD that it must be done just right before we can complete. There is pressure, adherence to protocol, and standards that must be met.

This can also signal a time, where the working-class people are discontented with government mandates or policies. Lay-offs are indicated and a bit of depression within their lives as they struggle to maintain their livelihoods. We could see some strikes. Resistance to the unusual nature of leaderships can throw us off. Extra work could be the result of heavy rains or flooding. Leaders are inconsistent, throwing us into a frenzied state, making the working class disorientated and not sure of the purpose behind the mission.

Family members are also demanding with high expectations which are impossible to meet. People can be acting strange or making weird demands. We are sensitive and could be encountering some unusual physical ailments. Allergies or auto-immune disease.

All this pressure can push us to break free from the strain of it all. However, on the way out, we could be highly emotional, a little weepy or sensitive, as we separate from that which is familiar.  The Moon’s trine to Uranus can produce and point of release, as we break away. Liberating us from the pressures of life. It pushes us to seek something different. Refreshing our lives with unexpected changes. We could find something different, which is exciting. A time whereby we can be authentic to our true calling. Doing something out of the ordinary, but also experiencing some surprising, pleasant events. Unconventional energy materializes.

The ruler of the Full Moon Eclipse energy is Mercury, now stationing and still in the skies producing a hesitation or pause to the events transpiring. This can stop us in our tracks as it’s neither direct nor retrograde. It’s in the aggressive sign of Aries, whereby we’re making personal decisions. Yet, we are now delayed, to finish up what we have been lagging. Commitments must be filled prior to proceeding.

Mars is still in the protective stance within Cancer. A position he held October 7th of 2024. We’re not finished with last falls events just yet; however, the Eclipse is attempting to push us forward or slamming the door on various indecisions taking place. Mercury is in square to Mars, so this protection, patriotic stance is in limbo. There is lots of aggressive talk, but perhaps limited action. We’re a tad argumentative, with much ado about our position. Things can get heated up quickly with little provocation. Threats of what we are going to do, if agreements are not struck.

It is this action that we are send us over the edge to quit, putting up barriers or closing the door on various issues. Just walking out, while we rub our hands together and say, “I’m Done”. There is a sense of being bullied, pushed around and told what to do and how to do it. People are critical, over analytical and looking for new opportunities to air their dirty laundry.

There is little doubt this Full Moon packs a punch, with an urgency to break free and just go a new way. A need to unburden, unload emotional baggage, setting a new course of action. You will need to watch though as boundaries are shifting. Especially within leadership. It’s one way one day and something entirely different the next.

This Full Moon is called the Worm Full Moon, as the worms begin to stir the soil beneath our feet. The Moon also generally will turn Blood Red as she enters Earth’s shadow. The Eclipse will last for approximately 65 minutes according to NASA, but it’s full duration longer. It will be visible in its entirety across North America and South America. In the overnight hours between Thursday and Friday morning.

The Fixed star associated with the Lunar Eclipse is Cor-Caroli. The double star associated with the South Hound. According to Robson, this fixed star, “faithful, keen, clever and fond of speculation”.
