September Astrological Journey
September Astrological Journey
A Kaleidoscope
The World begins to change colours as she turns to cooler weather. Early mornings drip with dew as the winds can have a biting edge to their gusts. For some, it’s a magical time as the leaves crisp up, turning brilliant colours of autumn. A kaleidoscope of visions as reflections filters through into images. Connecting us once again to nature. We’re shifting as the summer season turns to golden hues of harvest. The earth begins to draw back, revealing visions that inspire us to move inward, slowing our pace.
It's generally a time to return to the rhythms of life. School classes reopen, with children filing down the halls of education. We’re getting organized with a return to our patterns and ways of living. We kick off the month is this mood to start fresh. Resetting our energy to break into new avenues of channelling our visions to heal, rejuvenate and shift our energy into a constructive form. Making life a little more exciting.
THE OPENING
We feel this energy shifting right away as the month opens on the 2nd of September, highlighting several energies collide reflecting a new surface of colours. Uranus Pluto and the New Moon greet us with a fresh new perspective on old ways of doing things.
Uranus stations retrograde, intensifying its energy to rebel against the status quo as we bring in our own originality upon our world. We don’t want to follow the crowd here. This can produce some shocking events as people shift and change their kaleidoscope and begin to reflect their true colours. This pushes September into motion as it shakes us up. Making us restless to break through our various deficiencies. We can break free from the constraints by just being our authentic selves. We could see some disruptions with our internet services, experiencing sudden storms with defaults with our electrical systems. Airline problems or seismic activities. Things can be up in the air or down dirty in the ground.
Pluto also shifts gears, as he re-enters Capricorn on the 2nd. This further intensifies the already unpredictable energy flowing through. This is his last journey through Capricorn, as the old powers consistently grasp at every opportunity to stay in control. The 29th degree, which is where he will remain until he once again breaks through to Aquarius on November 19th, then staying for the next 44 years. This is a critical time with perhaps some underhanded dealings going on. There is pressure to go deep and stay the course. Which can produce transformative energy with the simply need to change that which seems impossible to change. It’s a will power like no other if used correctly to succeed. In Capricorn, we we’re driven to reach the top. Become our own leaders and be recognized for our accomplishments. Pluto’s position signals a last-ditch effort to regain this power, before transference of power goes to the community. The last kick at the can. The Anaretic degree produces a bit of chaos. Digging up materials which could be damaging to someone. This may play into the US election as Capricorn rules leaders, governments, corporations and the structure of the systems.
If this wasn’t enough. The New Moon rises at the 11th degree in Virgo on September 2nd. Being in the sign of Virgo, we can feel drawn to get organized. With our return to our normal daily patterns, it’s a good Moon to plant fresh seeds to purify our lives. Virgo is ancient wisdom and ways. A commonsense approach to dealing with deficiencies in the system. This includes our own physical health system and since Pluto is returning to Capricorn, it might be the perfect time to re-evaluate our physical well-beings and what our position is in the world. We can be hard on ourselves here, but ready to turn over a new leaf. Virgo is also about the working class, employment and productivity. We could see some new trends. Mercury the ruler is within range of his last square to Uranus, which could bring up some surprising information. Pay attention to the details and the conversation at this New Moon.
MARS SHIFTS:
Mars early in the month is also finishing his journey through Gemini and is within minutes of the 29th degree at the New Moon. Turning the kaleidoscope to shift from yellows to hues of silver or blue. Certainly, foretelling of a new mission on the horizon. Mars square to Neptune on the 3rd can produce a crisis moment of indecision due to confusion. Pay attention on the roads as people are not paying attention to what they are doing. We could be seeing things through a new lens, which shifts our energy towards a new activity. It’s strange and peculiar and people could be doing odd things. Throwing us off our mission. Issues surrounding flooding, drug abuse, alcoholism, pharmaceutical or water issues seem to be top of mind.
A change of direction also emerges early in the month, as Mars inconjuncts Pluto. This is frustrating, signalling a drive to return to an old mantra or perspective of looking at the situations we find ourselves in.
Mars will enter Cancer on the 5th of September. Mars in Cancer doesn’t flow very well as it’s in it’s fall position. Mars usual outgoing stance turns inward in Cancer. It needs to express itself in a more manipulative way to achieve the same results. Meaning it simply doesn’t expose everything. There is more emotion attached to things as we position ourselves to achieve our motives. It’s a passive aggressive. Reflective of the results of our actions on others. There are more activities related to properties, homeland issues, real-estate and housing. Family dynamics with security and protective measures. Mars remains in Cancer until November 4th.
Mars then moves to an out of bounds position, where we are taking risks from September 7th to the 17th. When Mars is out of bounds, we’re more apt to step out of our comfort zone. Work through problems differently. Being in the sign of Cancer. This is a time, when we could be acting a little differently, especially within family dynamics, building projects, home repairs, real estate, homeland security or family concerns. There is a focus on bringing in something new. We don’t feel compelled to act within societies rules. We really don’t need to follow any protocols or procedures, which can make us seem a little more bold than usual.
ECLIPSE SEASON:
As we approach mid-month, we begin to initiate changes as Eclipse Season is upon us. The energy is always a bit wild when we’re in this shifting energy. Eclipses come in pairs, so we will feel this energy right into October. As soon as the month begins, we could feel a bit of a restless energy.
The first Eclipse happens on the Super Full Moon on September 18th, newly in the sign of Pisces at the 25th degree. This makes our emotions extremely heightened and we’re really very sensitive to our environments. This is a new series of Eclipses beginning with the entrance of the north node in Pisces. The last time this happened was March 20, 2015, heading into September 16th, 2016. The one closes to this Full Moon is September of 2016. So think back to what was transpiring then.
As mentioned, this is a very sensitive Moon energy. It’s a Full Moon, plus it’s a Lunar Eclipse, also making it more emotional and then it’s in the super compassionate sign of Pisces. We could all be swept away with our emotional position rather than our commonsense position. Try not to be convinced of things too easily. Do a little research before you jump into things. In addition, the Moon is straddling Neptune, which could indicate some water issues emerging. Mars is also in the water sign of Cancer and square to the north node. There are a higher probability of heavy rain falls or flooding here. Things can get muddle up with a crisis of action taking place. We can find ourselves in muddy positions where we’re stuck. Lies or manipulation seem more prominently expressed. Issues surrounding pharma, hospitals, institutions, mental illness, psychic phenomenon could be highlighted. In addition, it’s a good time to escape. Withdrawing from the hecticness of life. Practices such as meditation, breath work or healing practices seem active as they emerge stronger. Spas or vacation packages for health reasons. Unexpected changes in lifestyle. You’ll probably being going against the grain as well or feeling like you are an outsider. Issues arising with religion or belief systems become prevalent, but in a new way, as we release some old patterns of thinking. It’s a super Moon, so be patient with yourself and others.
We will follow this Eclipse with the October Solar Eclipse happening on the 2nd at the 10th degree of Libra. Getting ready to shed once again.
MERCURY’S TRAVELS:
We are just coming out of a retrograde phase heading into September. Where Mercury will be retracing his steps from July 18th to August 6th, 2024. This can be a time, where we are actively working to finish up or accomplish something we’ve began in July. Since Mercury is direct, we could feel more motivated to complete tasks. It’s interesting that it was during this period that Biden transferred power over to Kamala. Whereby she will how have to begin the task of striking out on her own terms. Setting a mark of agenda that is more about her motives for the future of the USA.
Before he breaks new ground. Mercury will make his last square aspect to Uranus. The first square arose on July 21st, while the second happened on the intensity of the August 19th, Full Moon. These are important times in connection with Mercury at cross purposes with Uranus once again on the 7th of September. This shakes things up a bit. Bringing in conflicts and a change of conversation. We can be sidetracked with abrupt information flowing through. Issues around agreements or negotiations can suddenly be altered. We could be shocked or thrown aback by communication. Expect problems with airlines, seismic activities, sudden wind or storms, electrical disruptions, travel delays and shipping to trade disruptions. It can be a bit overwhelming as things are rapidly shifting.
Mercury goes through a series of quincunx aspects with both Neptune and Pluto. Adding to the confusion. We will need to adjust to the various measures to control the dialogue of the story unfolding. We are still unravelling issues from the past, so when he aligns with Mars, extreme action could be taking place around the 11th, due to Mars being out of bounds.
Mercury will re-enter Virgo by the 9th of September. Back in his home sign, we can finally get down to the business of organizing the details. Getting to the crux of the matter and eliminating the garbage. We regain some reasoning ability to concentrate. Our concern shifts to health, diets, exercise and our daily lives. Issues concerning employment, the working class, jobs and productivity seem to be top of mind. It’s important to mainstream things, and not to get overwhelmed with including every little detail of the conversation. Watch that you aren’t too critical of others with a know-it-all attitude.
Mercury will then break new ground come the 12th of September. Pushing us on to new topics of conversation or issues emerging. We’re ready to get on with things by this point.
Things really start to ramp up as we head towards the Eclipse and Mercury makes a series of triggers to the Saturn square Jupiter from August 19th. It’s a bit challenging as he first opposes Saturn, pushing us to oppose people in positions of authority. Going against those in power and taking a disagreeable stance to their power and position. We can feel as though we need to defend our position or prove something. Serious new media can be highlighted to figure out the details.
He then squares Jupiter, making things exaggerated or a big deal over nothing. Issues surrounding the legal system or laws can be top of mind. Lies or sorting out what is the truth can be challenging, so avoid lying to save your own skin. We could be pushing the boundaries of morality and making plans which are unrealistic. The educational system, immigration seem to be top of mind. New laws surrounding these platforms can be highlighted.
Mercury finally enters Libra come the 26th. Mercury in Libra can bring in a need to come to some sort of agreement or mutable understanding. Yet, it’s hard to make decisions as we weigh out our options. There is a strong need to partner up and work together on various partnerships. However, Venus will be in Scorpio by this time, and one needs to be cautious of fairness within financial arrangements. Diplomacy and foreign interests are highlighted. Talk of settlements within long standing disagreements are likely, with a financial gain of some sort attached. The trine to Pluto upon entry can signal a time of power plays, risk taking and going out on a limb to obtain positioning or power plays.
THE FALL EQUINOX: September 22nd.
The Sun treks across the skies back and forth between north and south. At this time of the year, he falls at the equator. Merging a kaleidoscope of mixed colours of summer and winter. Signalling a shifting of the seasons on both sides of the divide. Winter coming in the north, and summer coming in the south. It’s a time of balancing our energies and getting ready to slow our pace. Enjoying the crisp air as we prepare our bodies to embrace the cold of old man winter.
This is the time of year, when the Sun slides into Libra. This shifts our perspective, as a new chart emerges to highlight the energies coming forth with the autumn season. The chart set for September 22 at 8:45 AM Ottawa Canada, shows the Sun in the 12th house. Indicating leaders are withdrawn of doing behind the scenes activities. The grand trine between Pluto once again at the 29th degree and trine to the Moon/Uranus conjunction, can be a wrapping up phase, but still holding on to old mantras or ways of doing things.
The prominent ruler of the chart is Venus, which is now at the 29th degree of her own sign Libra. Again, signalling that we are wrapping up things but ready to move on. Women’s issues are highlighted. She is square to Pluto, which is indicative of a struggle for control and balance. Financial issues are highlighted as if we are on the precipice of some new issues with debt, deficit or deficiency. Bankruptcy could be on the rise or difficulties in the financial sector. Diplomatic connections can also be strained as we struggle with international laws. She is also in a Yod formation, pointing to the significance of important matters with foreign relations and possibly financial agreements. Uranus sextile to Neptune, makes things weird and a little unusual, that come about suddenly as behind the scenes activities play a key role in the future.
On a personal level, this could be a season of squaring away issues surrounding financial problems as you try and gain control of mounting debts. Cutbacks and concerns about taxes or mounting expenses can be challenging. Relationships can be breaking down with more arguments over a lack of transparency. Deception can materialize as things are hidden. People are over exaggerating, and gossip is rather prevalent, so don’t believe everything you hear.
VENUS SHIFTS:
Tension builds into the Eclipses and things are a little precarious by the middle to latter part of September. Venus is fairly quiet during the beginning of the month and doesn’t really come into play until she trines Jupiter by the 15th. This can seem lively and exciting with bountiful optimism and enthusiasm. Good news and good fortune can arise, giving us a false sense of security. A further need to spend money or make purchases that are a little over the top. Travel is highlighted and plans are being made.
Just prior to the Fall Equinox, she quincunx Uranus, sending us into unexpected directions. It’s a bit unusual to say the least as we adjust to new connections being made. People could come into your life, like a breeze wharfing through, and leave as quickly as they came. Pay attention here, as you might need to deal with some pressing issues by the 20th. This is the beginning of her Yod stage with Uranus and Neptune, bringing things to a head within relationships as secrets begin to emerge. A discovering phase, leading us to make crucial decisions by the equinox. It’s rather strained as we try to adjust to the sudden changes emerging.
Which brings us to her next juncture of transformative energy when she square Pluto, causing a crisis point right on the Equinox.
Venus then moves into Scorpio by the 23rd. This is always a testy position for the softness of Venus. Things become too intense and passionate. People can seem rather aggressive and dominating, which seems brassy and out of character. We seek to control not only ourselves but others.
Yet, she makes this grand water trine with Mars in Cancer and Saturn in Pisces. This could bring more emotions into play with our need to connect with others in a more serious way. There is a lot of sensitivity moving through with a need to aid those in precarious situations that don’t seem to have an avenue out. New programs could be emerging for the homeless or those less fortunate soles. Such as housing developments and community connections. Funding from governments can be rolled out from the tax pools. Scorpio is a sign of equal distribution and Venus is about fairness, so it’s important that everyone is included. There is a focus on the markets and investments.
We end the month, with a sense of being in a different place and time. Mercury joins with the Sun to set off new conversations and new directions as we head into October. It’s a month of shifting gears and moving on into the future. We begin to slow our minds and our actions as we prepare for the Slow time arising with snowflakes emerging on the horizon.
