Forbidden Love

Venus and Mars are the lovers of the zodiac. Generally, coming together once a year for approximately 10 days. However, this year, we have a special treat, when Venus grasps Mars by the hand and begins a 1 1/2-month long dance.

Mars sees her across the room, when he unexpectantly meets her, thanks to Uranus’s interception on the 8th of February. The attraction is instantaneous and fatal.

This is where new connections are being made. Sparks begin to fly by Feb 9th with romantic gestures, excitement and attraction happens in a big way. It’s a slow dance to start with as both planets are in the sign of Capricorn. A waltz begins to step across the dance floor. Slow, testing the feel of each other’s arms. Adjusting to each other’s molds. The connection, deep and strong. Testing each other’s compatibility.

They are serious here. Brought together through a business venture. Commitments, propositions, a mission. Eager to work together, creating harmony between the sexes to create new values of action. Mars here is exalted. In his best tuxedo, his best foot forward, gliding along with precision. Excellent in his approach to his newfound companion. An ease by which he makes his way across the universal dance floor. He is glowing with confidence. Venus is eager to commit to her new knight in shining armor. She is cool in her approach, as butterflies flutter her energy. She vibrates within her security. Holding fast to her adherence in direction. Eager to climb the ladder with her newfound partner. To reach a pinnacle.

Things feel right. This is a passionate romantic connection. Eager to introduce their love. This dance in its purest form, is a highly creative partnership. A fresh beginning. Strong connections are formed in leadership, business ventures, corporate partnerships, alliances in governments.

Venus softens the rough exterior of Mars. Smooths out the wrinkles. He is pliable in the hands of the feminine energies. Mars leads Venus through her steps, with strong sensible strategic action. Directing each step with purpose of direction. Venus gives support through her values, financial backing, her charming ways. Drawing in others, enhancing others to join them on the floor. She is endearing, but also leading through her ability to persuade. Perhaps she has another agenda. Fame, social status, acclaim. Taking on a mission that will elevate her, through the hard work she will have to do for her man. She is young, just rising out of her retrograde station. A warrior and ready to tackle any formidable odds.

As they hear the universal tone, and the vibration of the music, they begin to move in closer. Consolidating their future. By Valentines Day, they are linked. Love is in the air! Cautious, yet resilient against any outside influences. They are blinded by their mission. This is a traditional courtship. Calm, yet determined to form a strong bond.

As the Full Moon in Leo dawns, brightening the dance hall with light by the 16th of February. They profess their love to one another. Perhaps children need to be considered. Deeply entrenched to surrender to their feelings. Committing to what their hearts desire. They don’t know where this will lead, as they extract themselves from the past, in order to move into the future. A struggle. Perhaps a hesitation. Eager to produce results through responsible action.

They need to take things slowly. Clear a path. Build slowly. Get the rhythm down pat, before taking the next step. They practice. Mars perhaps is now teaching Venus. Things need to be learned as they semi-sextile Saturn. Educating themselves on the rise and fall of the tempo. Discovering their pace by assessing the situation. Mars looks up at this point to see what is ahead. Commitments are made. It feels right. They are reassured of success.

Magic is in the air by the 23rd, as Venus and Mars fill the night skies with sparkles. A dream comes true as they sextile Neptune in Pisces. Faith is restored. A get away, a vacation, a lover’s retreat. Everything seems perfect. The ocean, the sunlight, the breezes. New creative ventures emerge. Full of possibilities as they transcend the impossible to possible. Altered realities drift them apart from the others. Losing all consciousness of those around them.

Occasionally, they need to ground. Pull their heads up and look around the room. Have they extended their time, lost their sense of direction? Are they living in a reality or bending to some altered state of mysticism? Is it real, sustainable, productive, vital, and achievable?

They know their answer by the end of the month. Connecting strongly with the future. Reconciling their pasts but knowing exactly what they need to do next, as the North Node opens the doors.

As they dance their way into March, they come up against resistance. A force they must break through or transform to take the next step. Venus has travelled far, as she has tried to break down this barrier before. First hitting Pluto on Dec 11th, as she slowed in her retrograde station. She tried again on Dec 27-29th, with Mercury in tow. Sending her message out to the gate keeper of the underworld. She has felt trapped before. Determined to make agreements with this Lord. She was filled with jealousy, envy. Passionate in getting others to understand her values. Her commitments. Compulsively demanding her story be told. Obsessive in her passions to make him listen to her story. She demands change. Her values no longer align with Pluto’s mantra. She stalks, spies on, and tries desperately to peer into his soul.

She now brings Mars with her to the gates of hell. This was her mission, her ulterior motive. Her prince, her lover, companion, rescuer. Words have done no service to this master, and perhaps the only way through is force. Mars can figure it out in Capricorn. Putting the pieces together. Fighting for her all the way. Perhaps they need to make an agreement, alliance or a deal needs to be struck. She is overwhelmed in her struggles. Intensity has built, pushing her to her forbidden love.

They join with the might of Pluto again on the 3rd of March. The energy builds. The dance stops, the music ends. An exchange must take place. Venus and Mars want exposure. Pure revelations to the hidden elements beneath the surface. Reasoning and answers. An ending or death to their persecution and imprisonment. They demand freedom. Pluto wants and seeks payment. A deal with the devil. A promise, reassurances. Adherence to his laws, his rulership, his force. He seeks to eliminate their agenda. The lord realizes that concessions need to be made. Serious affairs are at hand. Fated and fatal attraction can be exciting, but deadly. They will have to trend carefully. Collaboration, business dealings, government accountability as a new door is swung open and the dance begins anew. They break through by March 5th.
Vesta is here supporting Pluto, blocking their way. One more step must be taken before they see freedom. A request of an additional sacrifice to keep their flames burning with desire. She doesn’t believe the couple can commit. She is hesitant to give them the flames of life. The couple appear devoted to their cause, to each other, even if it alienates them from others. They seem determined to hold the line. They can hear the music in the air.

The music rises in the mist. Enticing them to step forth into the future. Raising them above the ground, beyond their farthest expectations, as they dance into Aquarius on the 6th of March. Freedom at last. A break though to the next level of existence. The tempo increasing, pushing them apart from one another’s arms to dance independently. A strange new music fills the halls of the universe. Wild in their exuberance. Celebrating their victory.

They must be cautious though. Temper their excitement. Don’t expand to quickly as they semi-square Jupiter. They need to stay honest. Adjusting to new laws of engagement. This is brand new energy. Crossing over a threshold Jupiter and Saturn held on Dec 20th of 2020. A new age is birthing. Contractions can come hard and fast. Venus and Mars need to breath in their exertion, lest they lose each other in the mix of the new season before them on March 21st. The Spring Equinox.

They drift off, to dance with the crowd in the room. First one and then the other, loosely connected, pushed in different directions. As March 16th dawns, they begin to lose touch. Their spark fazing, but they promise to stay in touch. Do they believe it to be true? Did they lie to cross the gates? No, it was fated. An experience worth the taking, due to its magical moments. Endearments, and loving embraces. The coming together for a mission. Perhaps each with their own desires.

Suddenly they are sailing on the wings of time and space. Lost in their own dance once again. Following their own music. They begin to fracture. Broken apart from their commonality as Uranus, splits the atom from March 19th-22nd. New ventures await. Values shift and change as the seas part their way forward. Shocking us into awareness of where we’ve come from and where we are going. Venus pulls ahead of Mars. Outgrowing him, anxious to move on to the next mission of her journey. We now have a new dance, a new awakening, a new consciousness to attend too. Finally ending their commitments by April 4th, 2022.

Venus now heads for Jupiter and Neptune. Raising her expectations to greater heights.
