Venus begins her arduous journey of death and rebirth. Her transformation takes her through her paces for a 40-day span. Travelling to the depths of the Underworld to her sister Ereshkigal. Inanna (Venus) seeks to comfort her sister in her grief at the loss of her husband. At each of the 7 gates, she pays passage through her jewels and royal clothing to access the Underworld. Leaving her defenseless against her sister the Queen of the underworld, who kills her dead upon her arrival. In order to save the earth from certain death. Enki, God of Wisdom and Water gifts compassion to Inanna’s sister. Appeasing her to give Inanna’s body back with the condition, that someone would take her place for a 6-month period.

This is the journey of Venus. Ensuring our world continues the process of the cycles of rejuvenation. To begin again the essence of love, and war, death and rebirth. Venus descends into the underworld through her retrograde station beginning a new cycle of beauty and love. Ancients believed that she was two distinct stars with the process taking 1.5 years.

Venus enters her shadow on November 17th at the 11th degree of Capricorn. She is an evening star, bright against the western horizon. She will hit her greatest illuminated extent, by receiving full sunlight on the 3rd of December. She is Hesperus at this stage. Displaying her full reflective jewels and robes. Guardian of the Golden Apples. She is at her brightest here adorn with her full beauty and grace.

While she is in this stage of being the Evening star. We are a bit more sensitive. Felling the emotional impact if caught up in romantic disappointments or hurt feelings. The effects last longer when we have lost what we value. We are more committed within our relationships and reliance to one another. With a focus towards our values, as well as what is worth the effort. There is a need for balance, compromise. Diplomacy is created to respect and be respected.

She then begins to transform, falling into the underworld. Descending below the horizon by December 23rd. She does not hit her inferior New Moon phase until her conjunction with the Sun on January 8th, 2022. Where she positions herself between the Earth and Sun. She is now in the middle of her retrograde phase and nearest to earth.

She will then begin to rise in the east before the Sun at approximately the 15th of January. Transforming her from an Evening Star to a Morning Star. She now becomes Lucifer (bringer of light). 36 days hence she will be brilliant against the morning sky.

As a morning star, we can feel her impact. Adopting a more warrior stance of energy. Challenging others to meet us halfway. There is a new purpose forming. An eagerness to conquer through our impulsive nature. Setting new parameters of engagement. This is a vibrant, fresh energy. Which seeks to engage with others. Quick to seize the moment and capitalize on what is worth the effort to produce long term goals.
A retrograde station appears as though the planet is moving backwards. Going over an area of degrees already covered. It’s a time of review, re-connections, readjustments, re-introductions, reversals, redistribution and reorganization. This is where we can see inquiries into all sorts of events which have already transpires, come back into our lives and up for review. She will travel between 11 degrees of Capricorn to the 27th degree of Capricorn. If you have planets or significant points at these degrees, her retrograde station will be significant. Any area in the chart where you house Capricorn will be influences.

On Jan 29th, she will station Direct in motion.

Coming out of her shadow on March 2nd to begin the process of breaking new ground.

Finally entering Aquarius on the 6th of March.

Venus creates a beautiful Rose in the skies as she loops around during her Eight-year cycle. She does this journey 5 times, before she has completed her full cycle. Creating the 5 petals of Venus or the Pentagram of Venus. According to Wikipedia the word pentacle originally meant, “any symbol that protects against evil spirits”. We are presently in our 4th phase of this cycle.

CALM, COOL & COLLECTED

Capricorn is a very serious ambitious sign. Holding fast to traditional ways of engaging. The tired and true prevails. Karma will hold the keys to penalties or repercussions for one’s actions from the past. A blast from the Past arrives.

With Venus here, we can certainly see past actions playing a roll in what will transpire through this journey. Especially within relationships, marriage vows, allegiance within business partnerships and down the halls of Governments. Various actions can come up for review within authoritarian sectors and different levels of government. Especially related to the feminine energy. Women’s issues become top of mind, with any improprieties emerging front and centre. Things can quickly twist around against you in some way. It’s a good time to practice what you preach.

We can begin to see the cracks within the system as the infrastructure begins to crumble under the weight of the conduct within the established order. A crisis can begin to emerge with various weather events, which are costly to repair. Goods and services can be impacted. Corporate or government mishandling of various financial securities can begin. Reviews of financial spending. Wastefulness and greed can play a roll in the shortfalls and debt that had incurred as a result. Banking protocols and boundaries of how we function with our resources and individual portfolios become more significant.

Reviews of various breaches of protocol. Where the rules have gone by the wayside in favour of some sort of benefit are brought forth from the past. There is little sympathy for those who have acted out of turn for profit. Established allegiances can begin to fall apart. Various connections can turn on one another.

Venus will seek the facts within Capricorn. Bringing forth old connections and relationships to be cleared. Expect old bosses to emerge, perhaps run ins with old acquaintances you once connected with. Old liaisons or affairs from your work environment. Old ex’s that were once a serious part of your life. Husbands and wives from the past pop into your radar.

Things can come bubbling to the surface, where we have been less then responsible. Perhaps a bit reckless to cut corners. If this is the case, you may find yourself in a bit of a scramble to repair or rectify the circumstances.

We may seek to restructure our world as new forms of business models begin to emerge. Boundaries are redrawn and the limitations moved in one direction or the other. This can involve the infrastructure system as well. Business, corporation and government begin to size up their model of how they do business. Who are they connected too? Along with their income and debt loads. What gives them the best bang for their buck. New cost saving measures along with new budgets are being formed. The elimination of that which is no longer producing anything of value. How new business models are working are revisited and perhaps adopted as standard practice. Such as working from home models. New business models can spring up and new deals being made with old partners. Old companies will play a prominent roll.

We can come to the realization that we are not necessarily happy within a certain segment of our lives. Seeking to rectify this through research, and discussion within our relationships. A job, marriage or business partnership can come under review. Our tastes begin to shift. We seek to establish a model of contentment and satisfaction. Tightening our spending or finding that various materials things are no longer appreciated or available. Certain people and items no longer give us the joy they once did. Things become more serious as we tighten our belts and seek to downsize. Limiting and containing our various assets. New limits within the banking system can arise for borrowing or new rules begin to emerge. Stopping us dead in our tracks.

This is a cool energy. Where we are less likely to engage in large gatherings. A time of winter, to cuddle up with a loved one. Snuggle in the comforts of home & family and finding joy in the simple things. This is an energy to remain calm and to slow our progress down. To revisit what we wish to engage in within society. Collecting what is of value and eliminating that which is no longer workable for us. Consolidation.

Matters of the heart are present with a Venus retrograde station. Old relationships emerge to be cleared. Lost jewellery or treasure can be unearthed or rediscovered. It’s a good time to sort through your clothing and purge what you are not wearing and give it to someone who will. A re-visitation of our beauty regime, and the elimination of products that we don’t use. Clearing space for a smaller beauty regime. More is not always better. Old friends can arise, and old connections re-established. A strong need to downsize to the basics and necessities of life. Simplification!

VENUS TRINES URANUS: CAPRICORN TO TAURUS

Our journey begins here. As Venus first makes connection through a positive aspect. Just as she enters her shadow on the 17th of November. This begins to shake us up a bit. Rattling our cage. Especially since Mars will oppose Uranus. Bringing with it upsets, violence and disruptions. It’s here that we begin to say, “we need to change”. We have a Partial Lunar Eclipse happening, which begins to end things and to open new avenues with business, relationships, and distribution of goods.

Sudden awareness sets in. Which sets us on a new course of reality. There is sudden excitement with the possibility of running into something which shows you a different way of seeing things. A chance meeting. An enlightening connection or sparks fly. A new interest or good fortune. Propelling you in a new direction. New opportunities for a relationship, career move, business, spiritual journey, technological advancements, science discovery or inventions. It’s stimulating and worth the effort of exploring. The beginning of a new course. Perhaps even the metaphysical or astrology grabs hold of you. Drawing you in, to the point of no return. Things begin to change , as new opportunities present themselves. It’s impulsive and fast-moving energy. Which can lead to the sudden breaking off old ways.

The realization there is a better way. Expect advancements in technologies, inventions, innovation and the sciences. There is a desire for something different.

VENUS SEXTILE NEPTUNE:

November 30; December 1 2021; Feb 24/25TH, 2022: (Out of Retrograde Station)

Venus appears to give us an opportunity to see through to a new way, before she really drives home the need to eliminate that which no longer serves us. Setting a new course, as she hoists her sails upon the high seas for unknown lands.

Venus’s connection to Neptune is highly creative. Mostly dealing with fashion trends, feminine energies for beauty, love and attraction. We can get swept away with things. Drawn into a web of magical delights with swirls of fog encasing us in protection.

This is faith in others, along with a pure believe in the people we love and cherish. A trust that those in authoritative positions know what they are doing. New beliefs can take hold of us. A new religious, guru or way of thinking opens our minds. This is truly an opportunity to find out what we love and desire as we venture forth into the process of Venus retrograde. This is a moment of determining what you truly wish to aspire too in life. Full of dreams and hope for the future. This is a very inspirational aspect. How we wish to build our future. Spiritual influences begin to manifest. Advancements in spiritual practices such as meditations, prayer, mindfulness, healing or various techniques to merge into another world. Watch for those muses whispering in your ears.

New trends begin to take hold, that fascinate the eye. This is great for entertainment. Technologies emerge to withdraw from society. Perhaps through and into virtual worlds. To escape. Things that seem out of reach become available and accessible to common people. New forms of relationships can emerge. Such as holograms come into existence for the connection with others. Expect new businesses to crop up.

Relationships can be healed through this energy. To clear and remove the debris which causes it to be collapsing. Watch also that you don’t get drawn into a relationship that seems all too magical. Swept away in the moments. Avoid scams, scandals and not realizing who you are connecting too.

Venus will Station Retrograde on December 19, 2021 at the 26th degree of Capricorn.
She will be at a critical degree here, indicating some sort of stressed situation is transpiring. The elements ruled to Venus and Capricorn become more pronounced within the world. Economics, Governments, Goods and Service, Money and Power. This produce a climatic need to address such areas as a climatic situation develops. An out rushing of energy that peaks and subsides.

VENUS CONJUNCT PLUTO:

Dec 11-13; Dec 24-27, 2021: March 1-3, 2022.

Venus will connect with Pluto 3 times on her way through her passage. Beginning a new cycle within a cycle. Pluto has been in the sign of Capricorn since 2008, breaking down the old existing structures that are no longer functionable. Along with breaking down governments which are dysfunctional. Infrastructure is crumbling and the webs that ties us together are breaking under the strain.

Venus seeks to begin the process of rebuilding a new model that we love. That brings us more opportunities. To profoundly change our desires. This will ensure we take a serious approach to finding solutions to old problems. Simply put, the entity we have created is too complex to rebuild or repair. Putting patches over crumbling structures is no longer working. Or putting a thumb in the hold to hold back the water lacks common sense.

Venus through her conjunction will set new parameters of keeping what is worth the effort and trashing what no longer holds value. This can begin the process of purging out the hordes of materials we have accumulated through capitalism. To eliminate and get rid of the toxic waste by digging deep into the pile of stuff we have stored in every nook and cranny of our lives.

A new model through the review process to deal with profit through the environmental waste system or recycling systems. Simply dumping them in a different location can see a re-visitation of protocol. What businesses are profitable and ethical in their pursuit of environmental concerns. Elimination and waste systems such as sewer systems can also be faulting or eroding giving us displeasure in how we deal with these infrastructure dilemmas.

This also includes those relationships within our personal lives that suck more out of us then we can handle. The trauma they produce within our lives. Where we simply can no longer function due to the decaying elements eroding our existence. Venus will take a stark look at these relationships in all sectors. Those areas of work, where it’s not worth the effort to be challenged by the toxic environment we inhabit. Which can lead you into a new direction for employment, location or love life. You could find yourself breaking from these associations and finding a strong need to change your direction.

It’s important to realize that this Venus/Pluto connection seeks to regain control within our lives. To establish our own power in what we desire. To strive for the things that truly make us happy. Where we feel valued, appreciated and loved. We will ask ourselves these questions as we journey with Venus to the other side. We will review, eliminate and find a new path forward. One that is sustainable, even if it doesn’t make us or give us as many perks. Something to strive for and to build strong for the future.

There is a cautionary note, that bankruptcies can begin to rise. Issues surrounding debt, deficits or deficiencies. Connections around the banking system with new rules or regulatory systems. A slowing down within the economy is possible. Trade and distribution of goods and services will need to be revamped and reviewed. Inflation and interest rates emerge as prominent topics. Big business profits and government budgets and profits arise as topics of concern. Who’s making the money and how it’s being dispensed. Who has it and who doesn’t? As a new redistribution of funds is engaged. Economics and financial issues along with financial securities.

Venus will trigger the Pluto square Eris aspect

This will continue to stimulate the rights of women, along with the inequality in various segments of society due to exclusion. Continued discord and strife in many areas of society. Covid and related issues surrounding this disease continues to polarize within society. Discontent continues.

VENUS CONJUNCT MERCURY:

December 29, 2021

This is an opportunity to begin a new conversation, related to Venus and her issues. A good time for us to look and establish what you like and don’t like. To say it, write it down. Establishing a plan or goal of how to get from point A to B and what the cost of such plans will entail. Ideas begin to form, and contracts are signed. An expression of our desires. To propose and initiate a long-term connection with someone or something as commitments are made. This is an artistic, creative time, where undiscovered talents begin to emerge and the start of a potentially rewarding realization. Propositions and proposals. Commitments are put in writing. A new beauty regime, health or love agenda is expressed.

VENUS BURNS UP IN THE SUN: THE INFERIOR CONJUNCTION:

Jan 8, 2022.

We are now leaving behind what we thought we valued. What we believed in at one time. Preparing ourselves to take a new course of action. It’s here that we can feel depleted with realizations that we can’t go back, we can only go forward. We are in the heart of the Sunbeams, to be revitalized, refreshed and refocused. This is a time of finding our path forward and to leave behind that which no longer serves us. A new direction begins to manifest.

Since Venus begins to die and be reborn. We also should consider what we truly love and who within our journey of life. In this way, we can discover what stabilizes us and makes us feel secure, safe and comforted. In this we can begin a process of self reflection. Perhaps working through some shadow side of ourselves. As we eliminate, we can see what needs to be released in order to grow our confidence. To simplify and create structure within our lives.

Because Pluto is present, it can be a time to take out the garbage. To rid ourselves of unhealthy attachments or elements in our lives that are toxic. To begin a new path forward through consolidation and purging. To commit.

Venus is in Capricorn. Demanding hard work. Where we make a commitment to something or someone. If it’s only a commitment to yourself, then you have accomplished something. Be honest and truthful within your own reality.

Most of all surround yourself with the things you love as Venus stations. Feel confident and plan your course. Control the things you can and release the power struggles in order to control the things you can’t. Gain control of your own path and avoid controlling others. Keep a journal. Set a goal and begin this journey of discovery as a new birth begins anew.

ON JANUARY 29, VENUS MOVES DIRECT IN MOTION; to put these things into action. We arrive back at where we began on Nov 17th.
Venus will begin to break new ground come the 2ND OF MARCH 2022, as we lurch forwards and enter AQUARIUS ON MARCH 6, 2022.
This section of the Rose is completed, as we journey with the Lord of the Underworld Pluto. Challenging us to transform and to passionately change our course.
